Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of rainierfire.com and the communications we send you about your account and service. Section 3 contains our text messaging (SMS) terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance

By using this website, requesting a quote, or agreeing to receive messages from Rainier Fire, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or opt in to our messages. Work we perform at your building is also governed by the proposal, work order, or service agreement you sign; if those conflict with these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that work.

2. Not an Emergency Service Channel

Do not use this website, the quote form, or text messages to report a fire, an alarm activation, or any emergency. Call 911. For urgent fire alarm trouble, call us at (360) 325-7357. Messages and web form submissions are not monitored around the clock and are not a substitute for your building's alarm monitoring service.

3. Text Messaging (SMS) Terms & Conditions

3.1 Program description

Rainier Fire operates a customer care and account notification text messaging program. If you opt in, we send account-related messages about the fire alarm service at your property, including:

  • Appointment and annual inspection reminders
  • Technician en-route and arrival-window notices (for example, "your technician is about 30 minutes away")
  • Scheduling confirmations, reschedules, and cancellations
  • Job status, deficiency, and completion updates
  • Follow-ups about a quote, work order, or invoice you requested
  • Replies to questions you text us

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not use text messaging for advertising.

3.2 Sample messages

3.3 How you opt in

You will only receive text messages from Rainier Fire if you have given us your mobile number and agreed to be texted. Consent is collected in one of these ways:

  • Checking the text message consent box on the "Request a Quote" form at rainierfire.com (the box is unchecked by default).
  • Providing your mobile number and agreeing to text notifications on a signed service agreement, work order, or inspection contract.
  • Giving your mobile number to our office staff by phone or email and agreeing to receive service texts, which we record on your account.
  • Adding your mobile number and enabling text notifications in the Rainier Fire customer portal.
  • Texting the keyword START to (360) 325-7357 from your mobile phone. You will receive a confirmation message, after which account-related messages begin. The same call-to-action is published on our contact section.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from Rainier Fire. You must be 18 or older and be the subscriber of, or authorized user of, the mobile number you give us. This program is available on U.S. mobile numbers only.

3.4 Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your account activity and scheduled service. Most customers receive only a handful of messages around each scheduled visit — typically no more than 4 messages per service appointment.

3.5 Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Rainier Fire does not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may charge for messages sent or received depending on your plan. Contact your carrier with questions about your plan.

3.6 How to opt out — STOP

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We will send one confirmation message and then stop sending texts to that number. You can also call (360) 325-7357 or email info@rainierfire.com to be removed. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your service, and we may still contact you by phone or email when needed to perform or schedule work at your building.

3.7 How to get help — HELP

Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at (360) 325-7357 or info@rainierfire.com.

3.8 Carriers and delivery

Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Rainier Fire is not responsible for messages that are delayed, blocked, or undelivered, and you should not rely on a text message as the sole notice of an appointment or arrival time.

3.9 Changes to your number

Tell us promptly if your mobile number changes or is reassigned so that account messages are not sent to someone else.

3.10 Privacy

Your mobile number and messaging consent are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. In short: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties — other than the subcontractors that deliver the messages on our behalf.

4. Quote Requests

Submitting the quote form starts a conversation — it does not create a contract, reserve a schedule date, or obligate either of us. Pricing, scope, and schedule are set in a written proposal or work order. Please give us accurate information about your building and existing system; quotes are based on what you tell us and may change after a site visit.

5. Website Content

The content on this site — text, logos, marks, graphics, and code — is owned by Rainier Fire or its licensors and is provided for informational purposes. Code and licensing information on this site does not replace the requirements of NFPA standards, Washington state regulations, or your local Authority Having Jurisdiction. The service area map shows generalized ZIP code and city centers, not customer addresses.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

This site links to and embeds third-party services, including our customer portal, our form provider, and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites and services, which have their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This website is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rainier Fire is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or from delayed or undelivered messages. Nothing in these Terms limits the warranties or obligations in a signed service agreement for work we perform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site, or continued participation in our text messaging program, means you accept the updated Terms.
