Fire alarm work often lands in an electrical contractor’s scope: a tenant improvement, a remodel, a new building. Your crew can pull the wire and hang the devices. The hard part is the system itself: the right equipment, a design that meets code, and a panel that’s programmed correctly. That’s where Rainier Fire comes in.
The parts
We supply fire alarm equipment from open, non-proprietary product lines, so the building owner isn’t locked into one service company. That’s an easy selling point for your bid. Lines include:
- Kidde FX Series
- Potter AFC Series
- Silent Knight
- Fire-Lite
The smarts
Rainier Fire is led by a NICET Level III technician in Fire Alarm Systems, an advanced national certification for fire alarm work. We handle the fire alarm side of the job from start to finish:
- Design: laying out the system to meet code for the building.
- Shop drawings: the detailed drawings your crew installs from.
- Submittals: the drawings and equipment data sheets that go to the fire department for review.
- Fire alarm permits: we pull them.
- Panel connections: we terminate the field wiring at the fire alarm control panel.
- Panel start-up and programming: we power the system up and program every device to do what the design says.
- Complete functional testing: we test the whole system, device by device.
- Acceptance testing with the fire department: we run the final test with the inspector and get the system signed off.
Other fire alarm companies already call us in for programming, so you’re working with people who do this every day.
